How religious beliefs change over time

Thought of sharing an interesting article which shows how Buddhism changed in the past and how it’s changing now.

The above article shows how Buddhism in Sri Lanka got influenced from other religions. This transformation is happening to every religion, to every culture with ‘Globalization’.

The Problem in Sri Lanka is people adopt all the silly things from other Religions & cultures. There are well organized groups who change our culture and after some time those changes become permanently absorbed to culture & religion. The worst part is our Sri Lankans are so blindly religious and they start to believe and/or worship to all the silly things at the end.

    Although Buddhism in its current form (and present culture) is far from what was probably preached, the path to the end the cycle still exists for anyone with intelligence and determination. The commercialisation and modern day adaptations has no impact on it !

    This really isn’t news to me! All of the points put forward by the esteemed author at ground views have been put forward at some point or another by people like Kumari Jayawardena and Gananath Obeyesekere.

  4. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
    My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either created
    myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you
    know any methods to help reduce content from being ripped off?
    I’d definitely appreciate it.
